Solidarity At KB Fashion Productions: Our Commitment to Equality in the Fashion Industry
At KB Fashion Productions, we are committed to being active allies in the fight for justice for everyone, no matter the color of your skin or who you love, in both the fashion industry and everyday life. Fashion is a vehicle for change by being inclusive of the population it serves, respectful of cultures it represents, and supportive of artists of all backgrounds and sexual orientations, who bring their unique perspective to the craft. From hiring practices to partnerships and collaborations, we will continue to use our platform to not only promote equality and a fashion landscape that is just, but also encourage others in the industry to also provide equal opportunities for people of color and the LGBTQ+ community. In the wake of the Black Lives Matter movement, we are:
Listening and learning, educating ourselves through books, podcasts, documentaries and other resources.
Attending marches and protests, standing in solidarity with the peaceful mission to end systemic racism.
Having meaningful conversations with others in the industry about how they can actively become more inclusive.
We are not interested in performative allyship and are passionate about creating a space that actively represents and supports diversity within the fashion industry.
With love and solidarity,
Kathy + Grace
