Thank You, Next - An Ode to 2020
Boston, MA - Every year is an adventure, and 2020 was no exception. In fact, 2020 may be the most adventurous year we've had yet. We confidently kicked off the year ready to rock a slew of exciting projects that were filling our calendars.
We launched into 2020 by attending the Outdoor Retailer Snow Show in Denver, meeting brands and reps, learning all about what's next in SnowStyle. It was a whirlwind of a week as we met with industry giants Obermeyer, Helly Hansen, Picture Organic Clothing, as well as Boston based brands like M. Miller and Alps + Meters. We then wrote about the experience for the New England Ski Journal.

In addition to "traditional" fashion projects, KB Fashion Productions had been selected to produce and style the US Ski and Snowboard Hall of Fame Fashion Show in March in Sun Valley, Idaho. This achievement represented years of work in the snow sports arena, presenting SnowStyle and developing Her Turn at the She Shed, our female focused winter activation. The Sun Valley event would be attended by ski royalty and by the leadership of the biggest brands in the snow sports industry. We were over the moon with the possibilities. The event was, of course, ultimately postposed, and the rest of live events were soon to follow.
Virtual Runway featuring Lindsey Vonn x HEAD Sportswear - July 2020
What started as a dark few months, then revealed some spots of light as KB Fashion Productions took our first steps into the future of fashion presentations: the Virtual Runway. Instead of live events, we took our talents to the digital stage, producing fashion presentations that would live online and on social media. We expanded our work and created engaging content for consumer facing platforms to elevate a brand's message.
We were fortunate to collaborate with numerous talented videographers, editors, and designers that all came together to create something magical. Some of the videographers we worked with include Jukebooth, Chris Capozzi, and New Sky Productions and we had the pleasure of capturing the Lindsey Vonn Collection x HEAD Sportswear, REMY Creations, Zainab Sumu and Ser Verde Shoes. We also were introduced to some amazing talent out of Lasell University who supported our efforts and helped us with everything along the way.

SnowStyle for SCENE Magazine - October 2020
We were also able to expand our written and print content, partnering with SCENE Magazine, Snowbound Festival, Aspiring Magazine and other publications to spread the fashionable word. In addition to partnering with established publications, we also launched our own lifestyle platform, Extra Sauce. This is an outlet for us to share not only what's going on with KB Fashion Productions, but also to share trends that we are seeing in the fashion/lifestyle world at large. We also utilize this platform to support local Boston designers, boutiques, and creators.
When Boston Fashion Week rolled around, instead of our traditional in person events, fashion shows and activations, we explored the virtual platform, presenting our work as well as speaking on panels about the future of fashion. Organized by Jay Calderin, Boston Fashion Week took on a new tone in the digital space and we were thrilled to be a part of it.
Boston Fashion Awards 2020 - December 2020
Given that we weren't able to style and produce in the way that we're used to, it was then extra sweet to be awarded Fashion Stylists of the Year by the 2020 Boston Fashion Awards. Watch the full presentation above, or jump to minute 52 to see KB Fashion Productions win Fashion Stylist of 2020. We are so grateful to everyone who voted for us and to the committee for recognizing all the work we have put in during this rollercoaster of a year.
That said, our greatest accolade is seeing how our work assists other businesses accomplish their goals. How we execute for our clients may have changed, but our commitment to exceeding expectations remains. We can't thank our own team enough for making this happen.
While this virus has the power to restrict us in many ways, it can't steal our magic. It can't have our talent. It can't diminish our passion for creating innovative fashion solutions. It can't dull our unique skills and creative know-how.
So just as we did at the start of 2020, we will go confidently into 2021, sure in our abilities and fortified by our belief that better days are coming.
Lots of love,
Kathy, Grace & Billie
